Dillon Smith

Dillon Smith is a realism-focused tattoo artist specializing in both black and grey and color realism. Originally from Joshua Tree, Dillon’s connection to tattooing started at just ten years old when he designed a tattoo for his stepdad and watched it come to life in a tattoo shop for the first time. From the energy of the shop to the process of stencil placement and execution, that early experience sparked a lifelong passion for the craft.

Dillon draws most of his inspiration directly from his clients, collaborating closely to bring their ideas to life through custom, freehand, and thoughtful design. He thrives in realism work, with a particular love for large-scale black and grey pieces that offer both technical challenge and creative satisfaction.

Outside of tattooing, Dillon is a multifaceted artist ranging from painting to blowing glass. For him glass is a creative outlet that parallels the patience, precision, and artistry he brings into his tattoo work. While his work often carries bold and intense visual impact, clients are often surprised to find that his personality is far more laid back and approachable than they expect.
