Johnny Ashbaugh


Johnny specializes in black and grey realism, lettering, and American traditional tattooing. He began his artistic journey drawing comics while growing up and by 17 he had friends asking for tattoos. Being the only artist in his group and too young to get work done, it lead him to buy his first machine and fully commit to the craft.

His inspiration comes from everything around him, especially graffiti, characters, conventions, and connecting with other artists along the way. When it comes to tattooing, he loves doing black and grey realism and bringing high-impact ideas to life with strong detail and style.

Outside of tattooing, Johnny enjoys traveling and working on murals, and he also spends time creating through other art forms.

Something you might know about Johnny is that he traveled to Ukraine and worked on a documentary during the war.
