Renaissance Tattoo Studios

Welcome to Renaissance Tattoo Studios. By booking an appointment, purchasing merchandise, visiting our studio, or receiving services from any of our artists or piercers, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. General Studio Policies

  • Renaissance Tattoo Studios operates as a collective of independent tattoo artists and piercers.

  • Each artist manages their own booking system, pricing, artwork, and communication.

  • Walk-ins are accepted when availability allows.

  • A valid government-issued ID is required for all tattoo or piercing services.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.

2. Age Requirements

  • Tattoos: 18+ only, no exceptions.

  • Piercing age requirements vary by service and may require a parent or legal guardian with valid matching ID.

3. Booking, Deposits & KeepTheFees (KTF)

  • Artists at Renaissance Tattoo Studios may use different booking methods, including direct messaging, email, in-person consultations, or third-party systems such as KeepTheFees (KTF).

  • KTF is the preferred booking platform and will be increasingly used for scheduling, deposits, and streamlined payment processing.

  • Each artist sets their own:

    • Deposit amounts

    • Rates

    • Rescheduling/cancellation policies

    • Required communication methods

  • Deposits (through any method) are non-refundable and applied toward the final cost of the tattoo.

  • When booking through KTF:

    • You agree to both the studio policies and KTF’s platform terms.

    • KTF fees are handled directly by the platform and do not go to the studio or its artists.

  • Rescheduling & Cancellations:

    • Each artist maintains their own policy (typically 48–72 hours’ notice).

    • Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiting your deposit and future booking restrictions.

4. Walk-In Services

  • Walk-ins are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Availability varies by day and is not guaranteed.

  • A deposit or full payment may be required depending on the design.

5. Artwork & Design Policies

  • All designs must be approved by your artist before the session begins.

  • Artists may decline designs that compromise safety, longevity, or artistic integrity.

  • Design reveal and revision practices vary by artist.

6. Health & Safety

  • Our studio complies with all California health and sanitation regulations.

  • We cannot tattoo or pierce you if you are sick, intoxicated, or unable to safely consent.

  • Please disclose medical conditions, allergies, or skin sensitivities prior to service.

  • Proper aftercare must be followed for safe healing.

7. Payments & Refunds

  • Payment methods vary per artist.

  • Tattoo and piercing services are non-refundable once performed.

  • KTF is used by all artists for deposits and appointment scheduling. Other options are available through the artist directly.

  • Merchandise:

    • Studio/shop merch may be returned or exchanged within 7–14 days if unopened and unused.

    • Artist-specific merch (custom designs, limited drops, prints) is final sale unless defective.

  • Piercing jewelry is non-refundable for hygiene reasons.

8. Piercing Services 

  • Piercing schedules vary, and availability is not guaranteed daily.

  • Piercers operate independently and set their own pricing and aftercare guidelines.

  • Certain piercings may be refused based on anatomy, health, or safety concerns.

9. Online & In-Person Merch Sales

  • The studio sells merchandise in-store, online, and through individual artists.

  • Online orders are processed within the timeframe listed on each product page.

  • Shipping delays caused by mail carriers are outside our control.

  • Artist-exclusive merch may be fulfilled and shipped by individual artists under their own policies.

10. Gift Cards

  • Studio gift cards can be used for tattoos, piercings, or shop merchandise.

  • Artist-specific gift cards apply only to the issuing artist.

  • Gift cards are non-refundable.

11. Media & Photography

  • Artists may photograph or film your tattoo or piercing for their portfolios or social media.

  • If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify your artist before the service begins.

  • All artwork remains the intellectual property of the artist who created it.

12. Liability

By receiving any service at Renaissance Tattoo Studios, you acknowledge that:

  • Tattoos and piercings involve risks such as allergic reactions and complications.

  • You are responsible for providing accurate medical information.

  • The studio and its artists are not liable for issues arising from improper aftercare or withheld health information.
