Blackbird is a California artist specializing in black and grey realism and clean, bold lettering. His tattoo career has been heavily shaped by attending tattoo conventions, where being surrounded by talented artists pushed him to keep leveling up.

He finds most of his inspiration in his friends within the tattoo community — the people he works and grows with every day. His favorite styles to do are portraits and lettering, where he can bring detail, expression, and flow into every piece.

Outside of tattooing, Blackbird enjoys spending time with his family, exploring different parts of America, and pursuing his other creative interests like graffiti and cooking.

A fun fact clients usually don’t know: he once drove from Anaheim, CA to New York City in just two days with six tattoo artists packed into a minivan… all for a tattoo convention.
